Confidence blooms as the next step is climbed, Self-belief kindled, fears left behind. With each accomplishment, doubts fade away, fueling ambition, paving the way.
Finally, the ladder presents its last tier, A talent uncovered, a gift held dear. For within each student, lies a unique art, A passion awakened, from deep within the heart.
​So let us encourage, nurture and inspire, For this ladder of achievement takes us higher. In classrooms filled with dreams and possibility, Students shall soar, embracing their capability.
With patience and perseverance as their guide, They'll conquer obstacles, breaking barriers wide. And as their talents shine, like stars in the night, They'll leave a lasting legacy, burning bright.

With every stumble and setback, I gather my might, To conquer this challenge, to chase my own light. I seek solace in patience, a friend by my side, For I know that with time, my abilities won't hide.
So I embrace the struggle, with determination anew, Knowing that each step forward brings progress into view. I'll never give up, for I hold a fire within, To overcome this hurdle, to let my journey begin.
Though the road may be rocky, and tears may be shed, I'll keep pushing forward, no matter what's said. For I am a child, with dreams burning bright, And this learning deficit won't dim my light.

Sitting on the Edge of Sand Poem 

For grief may have knocked me down, oh so hard, But it ignited a fire, an unyielding regard. I refused to be defined by the struggles I faced, Seeking my way forward, with determination embraced.
As the waves kiss the shore, I found my own voice, To stand against the currents, to make my own choice. With time, I realized contentment lies within, accepting my journey, acknowledging where I've been.

Now, as an adult, I've embraced my unique way, Embracing my learning disability, day by day. For in those moments of doubt, I found my true strength, A source of resilience, guiding me at length.

Reduced stress became my steadfast friend, With understanding hands, the tension would mend. I no longer felt alone in the academic race, The weight lifted, as I found my own pace.
In classrooms and lectures, I voiced my needs, Knowing that support would help me succeed. A Solano Disabled Students program community rallied, offering their aid, Empowering me to thrive, my dreams never fade.
So I thank the program, the mentors, and more, For showing me the path to unlock the door. Fearless I stand, embracing the assist, With courage and gratitude, my heart insists.
In college's embrace, I found my true stride, No longer hindered, no longer to hide. Speaking up and accepting help, I now see, It's a strength that sets me, and my dreams, free!!!
